Ecuador Scenic Tour
This seven days trip will first take you north to the Imbabura area, This area is famous for its typical leather, wood, weaving an dough markets; as well as for its landscape. Beautiful lakes, Indian villages, high peaks and natural reserves surround the Otavalo area. From here you will return to Quito and continue the next day to the Cotopaxi national park with it's volcano which is the highest active volcano on earth. The third day will take you further south to Chimborazo (the highest mountain in Ecuador at 6300 mts.) to meet other indigenous cultures. |
After an overnight stay at a local "hacienda" you will continue on towards Cuenca by train down the "devil's nose" and a visit to the most important Inca ruins in Ecuador, Ingapirca. In Cuenca you will spend two nights and get to know one of the most charming cities in South America. The trip will end at the lowlands, in Guayaquil which is the biggest city in Ecuador.
